On the pendant the following sentence is engraved in Hebrew:
"ה' מגן בעד – כבודו ומגן ראשי" - God is my protector

It was given to me as a gift. I wear it every day. It is a very fiting symbol for me. I wear it with the belief that G-d is protecting me while I protect others.

This is a very well-made piece of jewelry for a man, and its symbolism is as significant for the Christian as for the Jew. The novice might not know that the Hebrew consists of almost all of Psalms 3:4 (3:3 in English), which translates as "Ha-Shem, You are a shield to me, my glory, and the lifting up of my head", or that the Hebrew is written in Rashi script (which, not being a Talmudist, I have not yet mastered). I wear it now with whatever kind of clothing easily allows its use (collared shirts with ties don't do so easily, at least not visibly).

I bought this Man's shield for my husband for his birthday; and he loves it! He wears it everyday and he especially appreciates the significance of the symbol on the shield.

Its a great piece of Judaica. I wear it every day I'm out of my house, I take it off every night before I go to bed. Its a symbol I can wear it everyday.
