Appleseeds Academy specializes in managing and running technological-educational programs designed to develop the life skills required for life in the 21st century. Programs focus on a variety of populations: professional training for employment, a technological youth movement, welfare frameworks for youth-at-risk, and programs for students and teachers in schools and community centers.
Studies in Appleseeds Academy's programs range from short introduction courses of 30 hours to a three-year program, including different components, such as a technological program, high-level English studies, provision of study skills, and a social curriculum, in addition to personal empowerment and social action activities that contribute to the local community.
Examples of programs include:
1) Net@ – Integrating intensive technological education with social values and leadership skills, this three-year project for youth of periphery communities trains them to become high-tech professionals.
2) Intel Learn – Targeting youth and helping them develop 21st century skills, this program focuses on digital literacy, critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration.
3) Microsoft UP Women – Providing underserved women with equal career opportunities, this program equips them with tools to improve their employment status. Tapuah's partners in this project include Microsoft, the Israeli Employment Services, and The Authority for the Advancement of Women at the Prime Minister’s Office.
4) Warm Homes – Operated in cooperation with the National Insurance Institute, this program strives to give youth-at-risk technological training and education.
